Midday, probably the worst decision for lighting and traffic. Harsh sunlight made exposures difficult but on the bright side (pardon the pun), I could utilise a fast shutter speed to capture the detail in the horses’ hair moving in the wind.

Hello There, Canon 850D

I came with some photos in mind, but experience has taught me that I can plan many elements of my life, but photography is not one of them! When doing street photography in particular, you always need to be watching for opportunities. A street that looks like a good backdrop, just waiting for something interesting to happen.

In the film industry, they say don’t work with animals or children. While I have no experience with film, I disagree with the statement for photography. I think animals and children make such wonderful storytellers in photos because they’re more authentic.
